theres a dirty joke here. Feel free to make it and leave it as a comment.

So at the Mooneyes X-Mas Party I realized something that hot rodding and all of its branches are a culture and import tuning is a lifestyle. Stop think about it for a second. The differences are subtle but there there. Hot rodding has its own genre of music, clothing styles, and cars are past down through the generations. How dads do you know gave there sons there 73 celicas or 510′s. Go to Mooneyes there guys rollin around in their grandfathers cars and trucks. Import tuning has a broader cross section of people taking part in it. Just look at the teams from different parts of the U.S. Does the Risky Devils look like the guys from Team Miley? Um NO. There is one difference that  Imports are a conglomerate of people and vehicles while  hot rodding is some what set in its ways. Now this is not to say Im dogging one side or the other Im just pointing the differences of both societies. I love my old skools where there j spec tin or american iron. But there is one major difference that hot rods got right and imports can learn from. THE WOMEN. There whole teams of hot rodding women while your lucky to see one car at a show driven by a girl. Oh props to Karen and her evo for stepping up when others don’t. And the girlfriends go all out for Mooneyes. You can tell they spent time getting ready for this show, unlike most import girlfriends that look bored to tears. I know Im making generalizations but this is what ive seen. And a pin-up contest is way better then any bikini contest Ive ever seen. Just sayin.

I have a massive passion for the first generation chevy Nova but this is my new love. They took this monster to the recent Gymkhana event in LA. I dont care how it did just look at that beauty. Screw Block and the Fiesta thats just the coolest thing out there.

new trading post racing Holden commodore under construction. I love pics like this under the skin of race cars to see how they work and the craftsmanship behind them.

that is a Williams Grand Prix Engineering FW32 gold club. Werid yes. Random no. But I fond myself strangely wanting one just because im an F1 nerd and I doubt you’ll meed anyone with one of there own and I don’t even like golf.

SpoCom was SpoCom its a nice show in my hometown. Its kinda lame actually

The Mooneyes make up day for last years rained out christmas party was amazing. I jammed from Irwindale to LBC with the homie to SpoCom before the heat hit and missed the  pin up contest for me that blows. This show was way better then any import show I’ve been to in years.

The SuperGT Series is back in action at Sugo this weekend, with the #23 Nissan Motul GTR on pole for sundays race. The Subaru above has been switched from AWD to RWD since Sepang.

The European Touring Car Cup is back in action in Austria this weekend as well. With James Thompson and his Accord favorites for the title. The FD2 above is Swiss built and competes in the ADAC procar series and is in the support race for the ETCC main event. This maybe the only properly built FD2 touring car in the world. The Champ car out of Macau? is not even homologated to the S2000 regs or nationally I believe. Great little car though.
